Excellent fish market located on the Oregon Coast. Fresh seafood to cook for yourself, including crabs, shrimp, oysters... They also serve excellent prepared food. Candied salmon is to die for! Long lines, often, but they blow through it quick! Very good and quick service always!

South Beach Fish Market: Where Crustaceans Meet Destiny (and a Deep Fryer) If Poseidon opened a drive-thru, it’d be the South Beach Fish Market. I stopped in for what I thought would be a casual seafood snack and left in a committed relationship with a crab burger. This thing was no joke—a deep-fried crab patty - so good I considered writing it into my will. Imagine if a crab had dreams of being famous, got cast on Top Chef, and then cannonballed into a fryer with flair—that's what this burger tasted like. Crunchy on the outside, juicy and crabby on the inside, all tucked between buns like a cozy ocean sandwich. It didn’t just feed me, it spiritually fulfilled me. Was it a little pricey? Sure—but so is happiness, and in Newport, this is the going rate for seafood euphoria. Compared to the rest of the area, it’s right in line, and honestly, I'd pay double just to daydream about that crab burger again. The place itself is delightfully no-frills, like a pirate’s favorite lunch spot, but with way better hygiene. Fish on ice, boats on the wall, and the intoxicating scent of "I never want to leave." My only regret, I didn't snap a photo because after the first bite. I couldn't bear the thought of setting it down. 10/10—would betray a lobster for another one of those crab burgers.

Went here this afternoon and it was delicious! It was slammed, but the service was really quick. The line was out the door and down the steps. Even with thirty people in front of me in line I waited maybe 20 min to order and then maybe 10-15 min for my food after ordering. Mind you there was probably 40 more people ordering behind me. lol the picnic tables were full of happy people. Beautiful day and great vibes. I highly recommend the halibut fish and chips, onion rings, and my husband got the popcorn shrimp w/chips. Many people had their dogs at picnic tables which was fun. My kids loved it. Great experience.

Wouldn't expect all you get from the appearance...just looks like an older convenience store. But WOW! Our salmon was an hour off the boat to our mouths. The line was a bit of a wait but it was long and steady the whole time we were there. They have a lot of seating outside and inside to accomodate the crowds. Crab stuffed shrimp- is fried but incredible flavors; only 2 but they were so big and so filling, glad I had chosen to share (but not a huge portions gal). Calamari was so good and a large portion.

Food was really good especially the crab sandwich on sourdough. Crab was just lightly seasoned with salt and pepper. Service was fast and prices reasonable for seafood. Indoor seating was closed due to the restaurant closing within an hour but were told we were welcome to sit outside on picnic tables for as long as we wanted. Outdoor seating was dog friendly. This is an old school type place where the fish is really fresh and delicious!

This place did not disappoint! The fried seafood basket was crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the oyster shooters were super fresh with a nice kick. Service was fast and friendly, and the casual outdoor setup gave it a cool beach-town vibe. Definitely worth a stop if you’re craving some quality seafood. Thank you again.

Almost every time you drive by this place, there is a line. If that doesn't tell you how good the food and prices are here, I don't know what will. The only negative I can say, is that parking can be difficult. We had to wait for a space, and it was a really tight space. And the line was about 20 minutes. But absolutely worth it. If you're in the area, absolutely stop by and try the food here. It does help that you can go next door and get a couple beers, and enjoy them while waiting for your food. We will be back next time we're in town!
